My Layout in the Fall of 2003

I posted pictures of my layout on my old website beginning when I started it in November 2002. I never posted these pictures on my old website, but am including them now for completion.

In the Fall of 2003, my parents had some work done on their house that required that my HO-scale layout be partially removed temporarily. My dad took these pictures after the work was done and the layout was reassembled. I am not sure of the exact date, but I assume it was before I came home from college for winter break, because some of the vehicles had specific places on the layout and they are not in them. Clearly my dad put the vehicles back on the layout, along with his own Southern Pacific locomotives and cabooses. I assume that as soon as I saw it I would have at least put the vehicles back in their proper places.

Here is my engine terminal full of my dad’s Southern Pacific red and gray locomotives. Note that there is no longer paneling behind the furniture factory.

A set of Southern Pacific F7s and a Baldwin S12 switcher are in the diesel servicing facility.

Here is another look at the Southern Pacific F7s and Baldwin S12 in the diesel servicing facility. On the right in the yard is a gondola car with all the loose details from the diesel servicing facility and from inside the roundhouse.

This is a nice overview of the town of Logan, showing that the paneling is no longer behind the furniture factory, leaving a nice light blue wall for a background.

Here is a picture of the other end of the town of Logan. I don’t think this part of the layout had to be removed, but the vehicles are still out of place. The green panel truck should be at the lumberyard, as should the stacks of lumber on the pulpwood truck.

This picture of a Southern Pacific Baldwin S12 switching in the yard also shows the completed grain elevator. The Bachmann hi-rail bus is on the road, where I never have it.
