Triangle Mall Model Train Show: February 1997

I originally posted these pictures on my old website on February 9, 2008. I have rescanned them.

These pictures were taken at the model train show at the Triangle Mall in Longview, Washington, in February 1997.

01 HO Scale Layout at the Triangle Mall in February 1997

I don't remember whose small HO-scale layout this was, but it was highly detailed and I think it was split down the middle by a backdrop with a different scene on each side.

The other side of the same HO-scale layout featured a detailed city scene.

02 Diorama at the Triangle Mall in February 1997

I don't remember anything about this narrow gauge old-time mining diorama, but it appears to be HOn30 gauge.

An Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Dash 8-40CW in red and silver Warbonnet colors rests in the engine terminal with a Union Pacific (former Missouri Pacific) GP40 and GP50 on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout.

Union Pacific locomotives with a fuel tender pass through the town, which includes Hanley's Sentry Market and Rambo's Hobbies, on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout. The church now had a parking lot, and the buildings on this end of town were rearranged, all now facing the tracks, with the hotel moved from the other side of the street and the fire station removed.

A double-stack train passes the other end of the town on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout. Another change to the town was that the gas station was turned around and the hot dog stand was added.

Mountain Pine Lumber switchers work the sawmill as another train passes by on the branch line on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout.

10 Lego Display at the Triangle Mall in February 1997

This Lego layout consisted of various Lego sets and track set up on a group of folding tables.
