I never posted pictures of my dad’s layout on my old website, but I am including them now for completion.
Here are some pictures of my dad’s HO-scale layout. He took these pictures in winter 2005.
An Athearn SW7 custom-painted for Pacific Fruit Express is assigned to switch the industrial park, which features an ice dock.
Southern Pacific Baldwin S12 #1498 is in Hastings with the “People Express” excursion train. This picture was taken with a flash.
This is the same scene as the above picture, but taken without a flash.
A group of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe ice-bunker refrigerator cars are spotted at Valley Fruit and the ice dock in the industrial park.
Here is a view of the farm showing the woman hanging laundry on the clothesline, plus the garage, greenhouse and windmill.

The first car of the “People Express” excursion train is Southern Pacific #552340.
The second car of the “People Express” excursion train is Southern Pacific #530693. This car features two outhouses, one at each end.
The third car of the “People Express” excursion train is Southern Pacific #540026.
There is no specific caboose assigned to the “People Express” excursion train. In this case Southern Pacific bay-window caboose #1497 is on the end of the train.
