I originally posted these train show pictures on my old website on February 9, 2008.
…Continued from Part 3.
On April 14-15, 2007, the Three Rivers Mall in Kelso, Washington hosted a Model Railroad & Model Circus Layout Show. This was the first model train show to be held at the Three Rivers Mall since the mid-1990s.
These pictures were taken on Sunday, April 15, 2007. It was late in the day when I finally got around to taking pictures of some of the other layouts and displays, and some of them were already packing up.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the circus show was this display of scratchbuilt carnival rides and circus scenes. These were all made primarily of everyday household items, like paper, popsicle sticks, and drinking straws. I don’t have much more to say about this display, so I am posting the pictures without captions.
Another circus display at the show was the one shown below. This display was in HO Scale.
The display included the following scenes.
One of the model railroad layouts on display was the HO-Scale Pacific Northwest Modular Railroad, shown here.
Other layouts on display, which I missed because I didn't take pictures of most of the show until Sunday afternoon, included those from the Peninsula Model Railroad Club of Ilwaco, Washington, and the Southwest Washington Model Railroaders of Vancouver, Washington, which is shown here being disassembled.
Here is the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale Layout on display outside the vacant former-Emporium anchor space.
This scratchbuilt model of a Jordan Spreader belongs to the club. It was sitting in the yard.
This model of Union Pacific caboose #25089 belongs to me and was manufactured by Centralia Car Shops. I was excited to have this model out and took several pictures of it.
Here is a video of the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Model Railroad Club’s HO-Scale layout at this show. The video was filmed over both days of the show.
