I think they were supposed to depart on the day's eastbound Empire Builder, but something caused the westbound Empire Builder to be terminated in Spokane.

North Star Rail's Coach #202 Wenonah was built by American Car & Foundry in 1947 for the Central of Georgia's Atlanta-Savannah Nancy Hanks II, and was later painted in Illinois Central colors for use on the City of Miami. It was sold to Algoma Central in 1973 and acquired by North Star Rail in 1994.
