The S-Scale Oregon State Capitol Holidays Layout, which had been covered in snow since its construction in the 1980s, has been re-sceniced with a snow-free winter look more representative of the Salem area it is meant to represent.
The lack of snow makes it easier to appreciate the scratchbuilt structures that replicate actual historic buildings from the Salem area, some of which still exist.
