After attending TrainFestival and pulling excursions in Minnesota for the Friends of the 261, #4449 arrived home in Portland on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. The following video shows the train arriving in Wishram, Washington, passing Horsethief Lake, and arriving in Portland.
Most of the cars that accompanied #4449 back to Portland were also part of the eastbound train in June. The full consist for the return trip was as follows, with the equipment not used in the eastbound trip in bold:
