Whistlestop Shows/Lumpy Creek Railroad at 2009 World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour in Puyallup, Washington

…Continued from United Northwest Model Railroad Club.

This HO-Scale layout mostly had a wild-west and circus theme.

Though the circus section of the layout had very basic scenery, there was some nicely done scenery and structures at the ends.

At one end was an isolated section of dual-gauge track running between a nicely-detailed sawmill and a mine in the back of the layout.

The standard-gauge Climax steam locomotive moved a mix of standard and narrow gauge cars back and forth.

There were also some separate HO-Scale circus-themed dioramas displayed with the layout.

The United Northwest Model Railroad Club had two N-Scale layouts at the show. One was their impressive "Legacy" layout, which I have several times but it had been a few years.

The United Northwest Model Railroad Club also had a separate N-Scale layout of NTrak modules.

The Pacific Northwest Division of the Toy Train Operating Society had O-Gauge and #1 Gauge trains running, including some #1 Gauge tinplate circus trains.

The Canadian Division of the Toy Train Operating Society had #1 Gauge, O-Gauge and S-Gauge trains operating.

Puget Sound Lego Train Club at 2009 World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour in Puyallup, Washington

The Puget Sound LEGO Train Club's layout included this large model of Tacoma's Freighthouse Square with a model of a steam locomotive parked nearby.

The downtown area of the Puget Sound LEGO Train Club's layout was quite detailed.

Some nice LEGO vehicles were on the streets of the downtown area.

A residential area was adjacent to the downtown scene.

These large bridges crossed at the layout's duckunder.

Some smaller bridges including a trestle under construction were on one corner of the layout.

This refinery was an impressive scene on the Puget Sound Garden Railway Society's large scale layout.

This Amtrak train of Amfleet cars in Push-Pull mode with a P42DC locomotive on each end was at rest on the Puget Sound Garden Railway Society's large scale layout.

This 2-truck Shay steam locomotive was in a staging area on the Puget Sound Garden Railway Society's large-scale layout.
