I originally posted these pictures on my old website on February 9, 2008.
…Continued from LK&R Layout: Day 1.
The Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's first-ever Model Train Show & Swap Meet in Rainier, Oregon was held December 9-10, 2006 in the gym of the Riverside Community Church, the former Rainier Elementary School. This was the first show the club sponsored since Longview's Triangle Mall closed, the club's first swap meet and the first train show to ever be held in Rainier.
These pictures of the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club’s HO-Scale layout were taken on the second day of the swap meet, December 10, 2006.
This first group of pictures features a Ready-To-Run Model Die Casting 2-Truck Shay that I bought at the Corvallis Society of Model Engineers open house on December 3, 2006 pulling a short freight train.

This last group of pictures features three of my BC Rail RDCs, which represented the Lewis & Clark Explorer, which ran through Rainier from 2003 to 2005 with three former BC Rail RDC cars. Only the RDC-3 is powered, and its original rubber band drive is not powerful enough to pull the others up the grade on the branch line, so these pictures were all posed.
