I originally posted these train show pictures on my old website on February 9, 2008. I have included a few that I didn’t before.
…Continued from Oregon O-Scalers.
The Great Western and Atlantic Train Show was held at the Clark County Fairgrounds near Vancouver, Washington on November 12-13, 2005. This was the first train show I brought my digital camera to, and I discovered that pictures of moving model trains usually don't come out.
I had probably seen the Aloha & Western Oregon Model Railroad Club’s HO-scale layout before this show, but had never taken any pictures of it.
Here is a view from one corner of the layout. In the foreground is a large sawmill scene. In the background is a Port Authority intermodal facility, and in the distance, a yard with a turntable and roundhouse.
Here is a closer look at the Port Authority intermodal facility, featuring an overhead traveling crane.
Here is a look at the turntable and roundhouse at the yard. Southern Pacific 2-6-0 #2543 is in the yard next to the turntable.

Behind the roundhouse is this open-air engine shop, with an overhead crane and a steam locomotive under repair.
This scrapyard scene is on another corner of the layout.
A pair of Western Pacific F-units pull a freight train.
Here is another view of the sawmill scene.
