Bicentennial Railroad Equipment

I originally posted this information on my old website on March 26, 2009. I have since updated it.

The Bicentennial of the United States of America was celebrated on July 4, 1976, the 200th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Many locomotives and other examples of railroad equipment were painted in special patriotic paint schemes to commemorate the Bicentennial.

The link below leads to a list of all the Bicentennial-painted equipment I am aware of, except for the American Freedom Train consist and the steam locomotives used to pull it, which are listed here.
