MTH-RailKing had a large display layout to showcase O-Scale and #1-Gauge products.
Here is an MTH Premier O-Scale Pittsburgh, Shawmut & Northern 2-10-0 Russian Decapod steam locomotive on the display layout.
MTH-RailKing had a wide variety of products on static display as well in #1 Gauge, O-Scale and HO-Scale.
On the top shelf is an MTH reproduction of a Lionel Pre-War Standard Gauge train set consisting of a two-tone State Green #390E steam locomotive, a white and blue #214R refrigerator car and an orange and maroon #217 caboose.
Among the MTH products shown here are an O-Scale Premier Union Pacific Coal Turbine and O-Scale Premier North Shore Line Electroliner.
On the top shelf is an A-B-A set of RailKing #1 Gauge Northern Pacific F-Units.
Among the RailKing #1 Gauge products displayed were a J3a Hudson steam locomotive, preproduction samples of Alco PA diesel locomotives and an Erie Triplex steam locomotive.

Lionel had a large layout consisting primarily of O-Scale products, although the mountain at one end also featured S-Scale products from the American Flyer line.
Here is a Lionel O-Scale Union Pacific FEF-3 4-8-4 steam locomotive.
This Lionel O-Scale Union Pacific Caboose is decorated in a fantasy paint scheme that matches that of Union Pacific's Southern Pacific Heritage SD70ACe Locomotive.

Bachmann's display featured products in a variety of scales, as well as several small layouts to showcase different product lines.
This HO-Scale layout was designed to be partially finished to show construction and scenery techniques.
This HO-Scale layout showcased Bachmann's HO-Scale Thomas the Tank Engine products and had several trains operating on multiple levels.
This On30 layout had two trains operating on different levels.
Here is a selection of Bachmann's Large Scale models, including a 1:20.3 scale model of preserved Eureka & Palisade narrow gauge 4-4-0 #4, the Eureka.

The World's Greatest Hobby on Tour Train Show is a traveling model train show that visits various cities across the country throughout the year. The show's schedule takes several years to complete. The show visited the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Washington on November 21-22, 2009. In addition to layouts and vendors, the World's Greatest Hobby show also features display booths for many model railroad manufacturers.
I only photographed a few of the manufacturer booths; many were difficult to photograph. As an HO-Scale modeler, my interests in the manufacturer area were focused towards HO-Scale items, but I did photograph some interesting items in other scales. The following video shows some of the manufacturer displays in action.
There was a wide variety of layouts on display at the World's Greatest Hobby on Tour show. Many of them I had either never seen before or had not seen for several years. I did not photograph the NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Scale Hi-Rail Modular Layout as I have seen it several times before at other model train shows. The Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout was also present, but I did not photograph it as it had not changed since the 2009 Longview, Kelso & Rainier Swap Meet. The following videos show the layouts at the show in action.

The Great Train Expo was held at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center in Portland, Oregon on February 14-15, 2009. I only attended on the 14th and I only took a few pictures at this show, but I did get a lot of video. The layouts shown were not the only ones at the show.
Vendors
This Lionel 381E locomotive & "State Set" coach were being offered by one of the vendors.
The surprisingly detailed interior of the State Set coach has working doors and fixtures in the restrooms that would be invisible with the roof on.
The engine and 4-car State Set were priced at $2,250.
Beaverton Modular Railroad Club
An HO-Scale Polar Express was on the Beaverton Modular Railroad Club's layout.
The locomotive is actually a 2-8-4 Berkshire, just like in the movie.
There was also a hobo on the roof.
Scratchbuilt HO-Scale models of TriMet's new Westside Express Service (WES) Diesel Multiple Unit and trailer by Colorado Railcar were also on the layout.
This was only 2 weeks after the real service opened.
They're probably the first WES models anywhere.
NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Gauge Hi-Rail Modular Group
Chicago, Burlington & Quincy 2-10-4 #6314 was parked on the NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Gauge Hi-Rail Modular Group Layout.
Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 #4876 was running on the NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Gauge Hi-Rail Modular Group Layout.
This module on the NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Gauge Hi-Rail Modular Group Layout has an early London theme, complete with double-decker buses.
Rose City Garden Railway Society
The large double-track operating bascule bridge on the Rose City Garden Railway Society's layout in the raised position.
Two-Tone Grey Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger #3977 was on the Rose City Garden Railway Society's layout.

Southern Oregon Z
A Z-Scale Pacific Electric 2-6-0 and caboose were on the Southern Oregon Z layout.
This intricate and detailed Z-Scale mountaintop fire lookout and cabin are on the Southern Oregon Z layout.
