The Pacific Northwest Division of the Toy Train Operating Society had O-Gauge and #1 Gauge trains running, including some #1 Gauge tinplate circus trains.

The S-Scale Oregon State Capitol Holidays Layout, which had been covered in snow since its construction in the 1980s, has been re-sceniced with a snow-free winter look more representative of the Salem area it is meant to represent.
The lack of snow makes it easier to appreciate the scratchbuilt structures that replicate actual historic buildings from the Salem area, some of which still exist.

Lionel had a large layout consisting primarily of O-Scale products, although the mountain at one end also featured S-Scale products from the American Flyer line.
Here is a Lionel O-Scale Union Pacific FEF-3 4-8-4 steam locomotive.
This Lionel O-Scale Union Pacific Caboose is decorated in a fantasy paint scheme that matches that of Union Pacific's Southern Pacific Heritage SD70ACe Locomotive.

The World's Greatest Hobby on Tour Train Show is a traveling model train show that visits various cities across the country throughout the year. The show's schedule takes several years to complete. The show visited the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Washington on November 21-22, 2009. In addition to layouts and vendors, the World's Greatest Hobby show also features display booths for many model railroad manufacturers.
I only photographed a few of the manufacturer booths; many were difficult to photograph. As an HO-Scale modeler, my interests in the manufacturer area were focused towards HO-Scale items, but I did photograph some interesting items in other scales. The following video shows some of the manufacturer displays in action.
There was a wide variety of layouts on display at the World's Greatest Hobby on Tour show. Many of them I had either never seen before or had not seen for several years. I did not photograph the NMRA PNR 4th Division O-Scale Hi-Rail Modular Layout as I have seen it several times before at other model train shows. The Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout was also present, but I did not photograph it as it had not changed since the 2009 Longview, Kelso & Rainier Swap Meet. The following videos show the layouts at the show in action.

The World's Greatest Hobby on Tour Train Show is a traveling model train show that visits various cities across the country throughout the year. The show's schedule takes several years to complete. The show visited the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center in Portland, Oregon on February 17-18, 2007. In addition to layouts and vendors, the World's Greatest Hobby show also features display booths for many model railroad manufacturers.
There was a wide variety of layouts on display at the World's Greatest Hobby on Tour show. Some of them I had seen many times before and only took a few pictures of, but there were a few I had never seen before, and I tended to take more pictures of those. Most of these pictures were taken on Sunday, February 18, 2007.
Beaverton Modular Railroad Club
I have seen and photographed the Beaverton Modular Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout at previous shows, but here is an industrial area.
A Douglas DC3 is at the airport on the Beaverton Modular Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout. It appears to have been through a rough landing.

Cascade Z Modelers
The Cascade Z Modelers have been making a lot of appearances lately. Here is one of their modules.

An addition to impressive scenery, Z-scale's small size also makes it easy to find room for staging areas.
The Cascade Z Modelers also have a sense of humor, as illustrated by these "MacTrain-ulators."

Euro Trains
The HO-Scale Euro Trains layout has been to a number of shows, but I've always found it's European theme fascinating and unique.

Lewis County Model Railroad Club
This logging camp scene is part of the Lewis County Model Railroad Club's HO--Scale layout.
This Pumpkin Patch is another scene on the Lewis County Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout.
The Lewis County Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout is a relatively small layout that doesn't have room for excessively long freight cars, leading to their creation of these shortened Centerbeam Cars, which are being switched by a GE 70-tonner.
The downtown scene on the Lewis County Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout is highly detailed. Among the details are a spilled trash can, police making arrests and workmen on a rooftop.
This Supermarket on the Lewis County Model Railroad Club's HO-Scale layout is a model by City Classics that I was pleased to see an example of, as I've been interested in the structure myself.
