Lewis County Mall Model Train Show: January 1999

I originally posted these pictures on my old website on February 9, 2008. I have rescanned them and added some that I hadn’t included before.

These pictures were taken at the model train show at the Lewis County Mall in Chehalis, Washington in January 1999.

A quartet of Milwaukee Road GP38-2 pull a log train on the branch line on the the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout. I believe this train belonged to Steve Spahr.

Here is the Milwaukee Road log train behind the yard on the the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout. This view also shows that the control panels now have their aluminum end panels on them.

The Milwaukee Road GP38-2s pass the engine terminal full of BNSF, Burlington Northern and Montana Rail Link motive power on the the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout.

The Milwaukee Road log train stretched down the branch line's longest straightaway behind the yard on the the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club's HO-scale layout's HO Scale layout. This is also a good view of the length of the yard.

There was a guy at this show who had this Godzilla monster and tank car who asked if he could take a picture of it on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club’s HO-Scale layout. I took pictures too. This picture also shows that the industrial park now has complete scenery.

Here is another view of the Godzilla monster on the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club’s HO-Scale layout. I don’t know if the monster was photographed on any of the other layouts at the show.

I'm not sure whose HO-scale layout this is, but it features a trio of Simpson Timber Company switchers at work.

A live steam 4-8-4 under construction displayed by the Willow Creek Railroad of Brooks, Oregon. (I didn't take pictures until late on Sunday, and they were already mostly packed up.)
